Productive Wilderness Life (Part 1) – Integrating the Father’s Love
Series Purpose – Overcome Obstacles and Truly Walk Out Love
- Do you feel the contentment that comes from walking in what you were created to do?
- Do you walk daily in a sense of joy and fulfillment?
- Do you feel you are overcoming the challenges that life has placed before you?
Scripture gives us the analogy of successfully overcoming the wilderness life situations we face to enter the Promised Land God has for us.
Unfortunately, too many Christians get frustrated along the way in fulfilling their calling and purpose. They haven’t learned how to resolve their sonship identity issues and therefore are not able to overcome in their wilderness.
If you can get a better picture of the path of walking and growing into maturity as a son/daughter of God, you can see the steps to take and overcome!
The Key: Understanding wilderness life and how to make it productive will give the picture you need.
What is Wilderness Life?
Remember the children of Israel coming out of Egypt? They saw themselves as slaves and victims rather than as sons and daughters of the Most High God. The wilderness was their stretching time to work this out. Challenges would arise and they would quickly gravitate to thinking that God was against them and had brought them out to kill them. Only Caleb and Joshua overcame this victim thinking to enter their destiny as sons in the Promised Land.
What is wilderness life where you and I live?
It looks like this: You’re in conflict, something is stealing your peace, keeping you from walking in rest. It’s something more difficult than simply casting down a wrong thought, you tried that already. You may even feel stuck.
Yet you are called to be an overcomer in the Promised Land. You have an inheritance in God. There are key ways He created you to slay giants and change the world, so resolving your wilderness challenges is essential to fulfilling what you were created to do.
The problem is that too many Christians are not making it out of their wilderness. And this is why I wrote this series.
This series will help you effectively overcome the wilderness to integrate the Fathers love into your life through the difficulties you face and then help you to be life-giving in ministry to others.
You will learn to incorporate God’s love into who you are and what you are doing in ministry.
The value of overcoming challenges:
- Internalizing God’s love.
- Becoming a ministry — not just having a ministry. Ministry flows out of you everywhere you go.
In the next lesson I’ll talk about the core problem that keeps you from the overcoming life.
