Sonship Skills for Realizing Goals As You Embrace “God With You”.
How to Get Started
Often I’ll be working on a writing project, or wanting to have a prayer time, or get certain workout or health goals accomplished – like eating more vegetables – and the whole thing just feels too big. I feel on my own or “not in sonship“.
I have found a lot of helping in thinking two core thoughts:
1) “What little step could I take here?”
2) “I don’t have to do the whole thing now, a single step is enough. I can accept where I’m at.”

This brings forward movement and one step leads to another.
Finding Your Willpower Muscle
I have also learned that willpower is like a muscle.
For example, I’ve wanted to get a solid abdominal workout going. At first it felt hard to even get started. So I’d take a small step. I’d choose to accept where I’m at. The first couple of weeks I would add a little more as I felt able. Now I’m at the point of doing a decent abdominal workout of several sets of several different exercises.
The research in brain science indicates that as you take these baby steps neural connections are being made in your brain. Over time your willpower capacity increases to do more.
What goals do you have? What baby step could you take today?
