We believe two core values are essential in prayer ministry:
Dignity
Dignity is the opposite of shame. Shame says, “I am flawed,” and often causes people to dismiss, hide, or devalue what is happening inside them.
In Discovery Prayer Ministry, your thoughts and emotions are not treated as obstacles to ignore or problems to be ashamed of. They are often “gauges” that help reveal what is happening in the heart.
As you learn to recognize them, you can bring your pain, beliefs, memories, and emotions to God for His truth, love, and provision.
Personal Responsibility
Personal responsibility is a key to lasting freedom. The prayer minister does not become your source, make decisions for you, or tell you what to do.
Instead, we help create a prayerful space where you can connect with your own heart, bring unresolved pain to God, and grow in your own walk with Him.
This keeps the focus on your own relationship with God. As you learn to recognize what is happening in your heart, you grow in your ability to bring those places to the Lord, listen for His truth, and walk with Him in greater freedom.
What This Ministry Is Not
Discovery Prayer Ministry is not counseling, therapy, diagnosis, medical care, or a substitute for professional care. We do not tell you what decisions to make or what action steps to take. Instead, we help create a safe, honoring space where you can bring your heart to God and listen for His truth and provision.
What Can Discovery Prayer Ministry Help With?
Discovery Prayer Ministry is for places where pain, shame, fear, painful memories, relational wounds, or unresolved beliefs have made it difficult to fully receive God’s love.
Rather than simply trying harder to move on, you learn to bring those places to the Lord, listen for His truth, and grow in your own ability to walk with Him in greater freedom.
Prayer Ministry and Coaching Appointments
Discovery Prayer Ministry sessions are available for those who want to bring unresolved pain, emotional resistance, shame, painful memories, or inner blockages to God in a prayer ministry setting.
For those who are not looking for a full prayer ministry session, 30-minute prayer coaching appointments are also available. These shorter appointments are designed to help you learn how to practice Abiding Prayer, sit quietly with God, and walk more intentionally in His presence throughout the day.

30-Minute Prayer Coaching: $60 for 30 minutes
