About Robert hartzell
Helping Christians Live from God’s Presence
Robert Hartzell helps Christians who love God but feel stuck in prayer, striving, or spiritual dryness learn to live from God’s presence.
Through simple, biblically grounded teaching on abiding prayer, practicing God’s presence, and the Father’s love, Robert helps believers learn how to sit with God, receive His love, and walk with Him in ordinary daily life.
This ministry is for Christians who want more than information about God. It is for those who long to experience Him deeply and consistently — not through pressure or religious performance, but through a life of abiding communion with Him.
Robert teaches from his own journey, not theory. His ministry grew out of brokenness, fatherlessness, and striving into healing, sonship, abiding prayer, and a more continual life with God.
Why This Ministry Is Personal
Raised in a broken home with an alcoholic father who later spent 22 years in prison, Robert entered adulthood without many healthy life skills modeled for him. At 20, he was working at Domino’s Pizza, using drugs, and living with little direction. At 21, he came to faith in Christ — a beautiful beginning, but also the start of a deeper journey.
Robert soon realized that while he loved God, he still needed healing, fathering, wisdom, and practical help learning how to live as a whole person. This led him to study inner healing through John and Paula Sandford, pursue a master’s degree in Christian counseling, and later receive deep mentoring in the Father’s love through Jack Frost of Shiloh Place Ministries.
Through that journey, Robert discovered the healing power of spiritual fathering, sonship, and the Father’s love. He went on to teach in more than 30 nations, write two books, and minister thousands of hours of prayer ministry to Christians from painful or dysfunctional backgrounds.
But over time, Robert saw an even deeper need. The Father’s love was not meant only to heal wounds or restore identity. It was meant to lead believers into continual fellowship with God.
That discovery led Robert more deeply into abiding prayer and practicing God’s presence. Today, his ministry helps Christians learn to sit with God in prayer, receive the Father’s love, and walk with Him throughout ordinary daily life.
Robert’s Ministry Today
Robert Hartzell is an author, teacher, and prayer ministry coach with a heart to help Christians experience a deeper, more continual fellowship with God.
His work focuses on the inner life of the believer — learning to turn the heart toward God, receive His love, and live from His presence in ordinary daily life. The heart of this ministry is simple:
God is not distant.
Prayer is not meant to be complicated.
And the Christian life is not meant to be lived by striving, but by abiding.
Robert’s teachings draw from Scripture, historic Christian devotion, abiding prayer, and practical heart-healing ministry. His desire is to help believers move from simply knowing truths about God to actually living in communion with Him.
